That Red Crown/Zerolene paint job is fantastic - How long did it keep that scheme? My guess would be not long, as I suppose the car had been purchased that way from Red Crown, which had been the original private owner.
Oregon American up at Vernonia had a flying A Tidewater oil car, but, while it was on the logging railroad property most of the time, Tidewater oil retained ownership.
My assumption is that this car changed to SVRY ownership and would have been repainted.
To those of us not old enough, Red Crown seems like a foreign name here in Oregon. But the fact is, there was until recently, a large Red Crown sign painted on a tank in Seaside, Oregon.
