That is an easy one. Tank car 99 retired 10/ /38 AFE492. Flat Car re-numbered 5355 and placed in service by the same AFE. I'd be careful though about the identity of the flat car as there were a number of similar 5300 series cars, though the 5355 does have a higher Lt.Wt. The car roster material researched by Mr. John Lewis indicates 5355 became a "Crate" which was the term used for the gondola's used to haul hog fuel I believe. Also the AFE indicates the car was rebuilt. It appears to have received different trucks as the ones shown for it as #99 were listed as Vulcan trucks, and in the AFE for reconstruction it mentions trucks from Stoddard Lbr. with a value of $65. Also the AFE shows the 99 car having been assembled in 1923.
