The WW&F, a 2' gauge line in Maine uses the 3/4 size coupler where the knuckle is 6" and not normal 8" hole length for the knuckle pin.
I own a addaptor knuckle that fits into a 3/4 size coupler but offers a knucle hand that is sized to fit with a full size coupler. It has a cast "Q to C" code on it which is the style size knuckle it was built for. It was used in the early years when many ng railroad used to jack up the SG cars and switch the trucks and run them over their ng lines. This knuckle lets them coupler the sg car to the ng train. The height of the coupler was lowered by the ng wheel sets that were used. My knucle came from the EBT who used it decades before they cast the aluminum addaptor that set down over the mis-match pair of couplers.
