I think that "working preservationist" is a far better than hero. I have a lot of respect for what Dan has done, and even more respect for Dan since he is willing to share his contribution to history with the masses. In this business the hours are long and the materials are costly, but the reward is when people are able to witness a piece of history in action. I only wish we had more narrow gauge trackage that Eureka could operate on. I would think there could be quite a market for a standard gauge engine of the same size, which could be kept very busy.
