I'm sure that I am not alone in noting the fine train shots which were periodically used in Ken
Burn's outstandin "Jazz" series.
I was struck by the thought that at least one person on the editing team must have been a rail fan. The shots were all in context, and the visual content was such to strike gladness in a rail fan's heart. Where else have you ever seen a picture taken from a Pennsy T-1 4-4-4-4 at speed with the camera mounted on the side of the cab and level with the drivers? Lots of unusual and interesting shots.
