Please be careful with the comments about Farmington. Not only is it truly a nice place but also it can be argued that without the Farmington branch the entire narrow gauge disappears and we have nothing left today, except for maybe Silverton. The gas and oil fields kept revenues coming and created a reason the ICC to refuse the abandonment.
Just some thoughts about how important Farmington’s role was in having what we can be thankful for today.
