Although there may well be other locomotives in this state that should be fixed up, I personally think the #12 should be the one. It's my personal preference to "like" any locomotive on the planet, and I like this one. I would gladly see it restored in Nevada. So back to my real first question, who do I get a hold of. The guys I talked to at Boulder city new nothing of its history or why it was even there? They did not seem to care about it other than something that was in their way of producing standard guage running equipment. My feeling, from leaving the grounds was that no one in Boulder City would even come close to missing her. I gave the volunteer that was kind enough to open the gates and let me in to photograph it, a fifty dollar bill to "help" with their operations (so I guess the seventy five year dry spell of Colorado money is over

Again, I don't understand the implicit dislike of the locomtive coming to Colorado, but that is obviously a mute point with you. I say it would be better that it was fixed up and running on the EBT, than setting in Boulder City......
So again, who is it in Nevada that puts the plans in place to rebuild a locomotive, because although you might have a passion to see it rebuilt in the NSRM system, no one has done much of anything to it other than move it to the grounds there. I'm greatfull that it was given by a private citizen to the great state of Neveda, I'm greatfull that a few museum folk and volunteers have "kept it", but I want to see the situation move forward. I know that RR preservation money is hard to come by, and the priorities are made for other peoples pet projects, I just want this to get some attention and move up the ladder of recognition.
