Dan, I guess the difference between your stove and capping the stack on an engine is that while you shut down the air to the stove and reduce the draft with a damper, you don't seal off the stove as much as you do when you actually cap the stack. We can compare notes on this when 3 presumably has this procedure done the night before the photo frt. and Sat. night. I've noticed a little smoke backing out around the fire door frame.
