The GLRR is not "fly-by-night." Mechanical failures happen and they must be attended to.
I visited the GLRR last weeked, rode the train with #9 and took the mine tour. I was very impressed.
Last year, we at the East Broad Top had a cracked driver on #14. While this was being repaired, our GE 55-tonner blew a traction motor and generator. Crews were up late that evening finishing up on #14. We were lucky that we did not have to shut down for an entire day.
