The people of the city of Siver Plume are somewhat divided about the railroad; (traffic, polution, property taxes and ect...) Crummy 1006 is protected and I have to to say is used as a object to preserve local goverment souvenity from the state, another reason is for commerce to go to the north side of I 70. Like the "C & S 71" in Central City it is "their" piece of historic railroad equipment as told to me by a City of Silver Plume employee. Too bad, the 1006 I think is in good condition and could be made to benefit all.
