Why not?
Breckenridge plans to build some track and run the #9 around the North end of town. Now I would much rather see her on the loop or better yet, running out of Leadville on a line converted back to three feet. However, many people complained that using the #9 on the grades of the Loop would just beat her to death. Considering moving the maximum amount of cars up to Silver Plume is the main purpose of the current Loop, this may be a valid concern, especially for the people that are so concerned about preserving the historical #9.
If you buy this reasoning, then sending #9 to Breckenridge may just be the best way for the CHS to preserve #9.
Eather way, I guess we all should savor every day the #9 runs over the Loop, with or without the red roof and the natural wood and all the rest since her stay at the Loop is only temporary.......Just like that red roof.
