Yes, we are indeed fortunate that the New Mexico LFC, Lt. Gov Denish, and Gov Richardson are inclined to help the railroad and see the Cumbres and Toltec as a valuable historic property and a vital economic engine in addition to being a pretty ride.
At the very least, having someone show up at the meeting with emails in hand expressing gratitude for their ongoing efforts would help. Without the Richardson administration in NM, the C&TSRR might be just a memory. While more support from Colorado is needed, let us not take for granted the efforts that come from Santa Fe.
