That is exactly what I meant - the Welsh hate the English and go to great lengths to show it - I go there rarely because I object to paying good money to be treated badly. If it was just a few individuals there wouldn't be a problem.
They have their own government but are subsidised (as also occurs in Scotland & Northern Ireland) massively by those who pay taxes in England. Their elected represenatives can vote (and do) on issues that only affect the English voters. The government is only in power because of Welsh & Scottish M.P's.
So the Welsh have their cake and eat it....

P.S. Mid Wales is much more pleasant.
