You are correct. The D&SNG wants to cut back to 80 year-round employees. That means that all others will be temporary. It gave Larry Beam and Steve Jackson an excuse to try to teach me a lesson and I'm sure there will be others, who are viewed as a threat to CERTAIN managers, that will get the axe as well.
The concern for completing the much needed work on the locomotives this winter is real and was present before the lay-offs. But I'm sure many things will be swept under the rug, ignored, lied about and next season will result in annulled trains, late trains and stranded passengers. This is the practice of the current management duo in the roundhouse. And they get away with it because Al Harper and Jeff Jackson have built a wall between themselves and their employees.
