The layoffs are probably temporay . There are always layoffs on tourist roads at season's end ,but this is in permanent staff .Most of the people who work at the D&SNG are great people .Some are old friends .I actually wish Al Harper well . He has worked hard to improve the image of the railroad in the community as well as with railfans and the public . Everyone on both the inside and outside the railroad agree he is a gigantic improvement over Bradshaw .
