"Seriously, we can't be complacent like Greg's post and think that the C&TS, the EBT and other treasures are "saved". They could disappear tomorrow. In fact, the C&TS *will* disappear if Colorado voters like Jerry continue to write to their reps "about the C&TS funding telling them that they should only fund the C&TS if it is properly managed and if controls are put in place to maintain the historical character of the operation."
Well if that isn't picking on me, then I don't know what is! I can recall several occassions when you have wanted to butt-heads on my posts.
As far as being pro-active, thats exactly what we are trying to do by suggesting things, like making it more historical. We believe that these things MIGHT ACTUALLY HELP the bottom line, and it surely won't hurt it.
This leads me to wonder why folks like you disagree with our suggestions. You are either not historical minded, or in fact you would rather see that bike path so that we can all go out and enjoy some other non-descript tourist railroad that was made up a couple of years ago with xyz power and trackage. If thats what you want on the C&TS, have at it!!! I won't stand in your way!
