My 2 cents: Continue with the rebuilds of #9 & #30/74. Keep the restorations as historically accurate as possible as they appeared in service on the C&S. Run them only sparingly, I.E. special
events. Construct 2 or 3 replica 2-8-0 engines of a standard design patterned after the C&S consols or even maybe a D&RG C19. and run the crap out of them. Therefore, the historical integity of both #9 and #30/74 are not compromised and the Loop will posess reliable motive power for decades. Problem solved.
