I checked the websites for the CRRM, WRM, CSRM, and FRRS. At least they all had websites. All mentioned accepting donations with some treating in detail the legal and tax issues, but none of the websites had anything to say about what they really wanted. The CSRM site was the best, and it did suggest they would catalogue the collection and were candid in saying that material they did not want would be "discretely" disposed of. CSRM also indicated that due to space limitations that they were very restrictive in accepting locomotives and cars....which means I may have a hard time getting rid of that 2-8-8-2 stored in my garage.
