I'm both a minor collector and maybe lazy. I have no particular desire to "research" museums because it's hard to get excited that my stuff is worth the effort. I've thought about selling some of this stuff on ebay but that's more trouble than it's worth in my mind. So I'd say there is a good chance that my stuff will end up in a dust bin. On another thread a bunch of folks seemed outraged that stuff like this might get thrown away. My point is that if they think it ought to be saved, don't depend on the donor to do the work. Set up a process that makes it easy for the donor. Otherwise a lot will end up lost by default.
