The stock pen that is there now (to the east) belonged to the railroad. Originally it was just a chute, then they added the fence later. Both show up on the valuations/roster and ROW maps.
The fences that are in the pictures must have been private paddocks.
The Square Nail Gang would like to fix up the fence and add a chute like in Chama. Then we could ask the existing cattle owner if he would loan us some cows for some roundup and stock shipments with special stock trains. I think this would go over great. Especially since I hate sheep!
