If you look in the extreme lower left corner of the photo, you see the tracks. If you compare this photo to the one in "Chama/Cumbres" on page 116, you'll see that you're standing just RR East (compass south) of the section house just restored by the Friends, looking compass east. That building is the old boarding house / dining facility.
The picture in the book is a great panorama of the whole facility, showing the covered turntable. It actually had some sort of attachment to the back of the station building, and butted up to the coaling platform. I would guess it served double duty, as both turntable and engine house.
