Oregon passed a initiative that set limits on the increase of valuation. During the campaign period, most all of our state officials, many local government leaders, etc. all preached dire consequences if it was passed. That didn't happen, however, it does make things a bit tight in the public safety arena. Not knowing anything about Colorado politics etc, I can say that it is something that needs to be carefully considered. Somewhere, somehow, government needs to know that the barrel isn't bottomless.
