Thanks PRSL for the rail info. and the infomation on #7's early history. There are a number of us in regular contact with one another discussing various aspects of OLC/SVRy and the other logging lines that sure wish someone would take up the job of writing a history. We are fortunate that Casey Carlson has been at least researching and producing some short articles on specific engines and writing down the information he has gotten from interviews with remaining people who worked on these lines. That a larger all inclusive work hasn't been written, I think isn't really for lack of subject material and historical data that is available. More seems to come to light all the time. I suspect it has more to do with the right person taking up a lifetimes work to do it, probably for little or no profit.
