I have been going through ny negative files at The Courier and found this one from Feb. 1962 of the Oregon Lbr. Co. No. 7 ready to head to the Black Hills.
Boy if only the owner of the Oregon at the time, had followed through on giving us local a chance to buy it, but as it was, my father received a call from the UP station agent letting him know this loco was loaded and ready to ship. He had been working with the Eastern Oregon Museum to save it locally....
