The Galloping Goose Historical Society has very ambitious plans to rebuild the RGS line on the actual right of way from Dolores to Mancos, CO. If you stop at the Depot museum in Dolores, you'll find a large map depicting the right of way of the(proposed) restored route. If memory serves, most of the land owners along the route have agreed to easements. An obvious BIG hurdle would be $$$$$.
Even if any portion of the route is restored, it would be a terrific ride. I hope they do it!
