I ate (maybe fourth or fifth time) at "Viva Vera's" last May, the night of opening day. As I paid my bill, and Vera took my money, I asked her, "Vera, is your food MEXICAN Mexican or New Mexico Mexican?" She replied, "New Mexico. But we made that mistake [i.e., "Mexican food"]naming the restaurant 50 years ago, and I don't think we can change it now."
I enjoy spicy food (I'm at least a "medium" guy), but I never found her food unusually spicy-hot--just right!
I wonder if the kids will now carry on. I sense that at least two are involved in the operation.
