There are long-range plans to rebuild the 492. She was moved into the roundhouse this summer along with 483 for jacket removal. The lead truck was pulled for the 497 in August. The boiler is not a problem, as the paperwork has been maintained on all of the C&TSR engines. When I looked her over this summer, she wasn't in too bad of shape. The arid climate at Chama is a big help. The date given earlier this year was 2003, and that will depend on more contributions to the Flower's fund.
