BTW if you look at the pending grant requests the Durango #315 project has requested $79,327 for Locomotive Boiler Restoration while the town of Breckenridge has requested $300,000 to restore Locomotive #111.
Very interesting. So if CHS gives Breckenridge $300,000 for the #111 then is there a deal to let them (CHS)use the engine? How is the #111 more historically deserving (for restoration)than other Colorado prototype engines? i.e C&S #9 or #74? Or does the CHS just make their own rules to fit the situation with regards to obtaining Loop motive power? The plot thickens.
