Very good points John. However, not many people here seem to be interested in the facts.
The story is that the CHS has two 44 ton diesels located in Pueblo. Then Ed said that the 44 toners are really 25 ton. Which IS IT???
I have heard that the locomotive that they are speaking of is the one at the Pueblo Locomotive & Rail Historical Society. However, I do not know this as a fact. The link to this museum seems to be down but I did find a picture on the web of what could be the locomotive that is heading to the Loop. It’s in the middle of the page.

Is this thing a 44-ton locomotive?? Looks a little small for that. Perhaps Ed is correct and it really is a 25-ton.
Bottom line, does anyone know what is really going on?????? About the diesel anyway. It nice to hear that the #30/74 will be restored and the source for this information seems pretty good.
