The meeting went as expected...
A few details:
1) Railstar's Ron Trottier will be in Georgetown this weekend for the Dec. 4-5 Christmas Marketing event. No info as to where he will actually be, but everyone - especially you merchants! - be sure to seek him out and inquire (nicely) about his plans for the Loop and what the status of his train is;
2) One 44-ton diesel is undergoing restoration in Pueblo, with a second diesel (also 44-ton?) to be restored later;
3) Four gons are in Jason Midyette's baliwick being rebuilt/restored/recpnfigured for use on the Loop. CHS is also negotiating for the use of two additional from a still-confidential source.
4) "Steam", you ask? Boulder's #30/74 is still a candidate. When frame damage and other concerns were mentioned, Joseph Bell said more shifts/manpower (read "money"!) would be added to assure its readiness.
5) Loop Park Director Lee Behrens was absent from the meeting.
Those are some of the high points(?) of the meeting. The rest of the story within 48 hours.
