The arch-bar trucks in Orby were of EBT origin not D&RGW. They were on the EBT's first order of steel hoppers in 1913 and were removed from two of the original hoppers in Mount Union. They were removed with the inteded use of placing them under the three former D&RGW flatcars the EBT owns as they were converted into steel framed passenger coaches. Cost overruns ended that project, but one set of arch-bars did make it under the first coach and the D&RGW cast trucks were stored in the yard with the other two pair of EBT arch-bars.
May 2000, when Mr. West purchased the 5 hoppers, Stanley Hall also sold him that pair of D&RGW trucks. At the same time the arch-bars disappeared and I can only assume that they were sold as well.
You can make out the end of one of the arch-bar trucks in this photo:

As to EBT hoppers on the CTS, staunch EBT fans are always sad to see more equipment leave, but they went to a great cause where they will be restored and used. Needless to say they were not going to get that attention where they were. The EBT keeps ten hoppers restored and operable which is about eight more than they need for normal operations.
Personally I hope the CTS will se fit one day (after they are actually _operable_) when time and funding allow to paint them up in their original EBT livery. would any less be done for RGS or DSP&P equipment?
