In 1991 when we were doing the Rotary run, CBS had a copter at Cumbres, and on the second day did some shots mainly around Tanglefoot curve(I have the shots of it and audio of same in my "Steam Rotary". Thankfully, they could only stay up 10 minutes because it is so far to refuel. This is an instance where Cumbres being along way away, is a good thing!
CBS evening news did run a fluff piece on the end of the Friday night news that year, and we got home in time to see it. It was pretty good.
Fuel is the problem for copters! I'd love to get shots of my very own personal photo freight between Big Horn and Cresco from the air, but I guess like relaying the tracks to Gato, its unlikely!
