I think Mr. Shank has been to considerate and to patience as far as his dealings with the City Fathers & the group that is against the railroad. Think about it. The city fathers and the folks that are against him had many years to make there own deal with the railroad before Don stepped in. They didn't do anything, so now that someone has stepped up to the plate they want to change the rules or at the very least they are trying to tell the owner of the property what to do with his property. We must not forget that individual property rights can not be stepped on. My suggestion to Mr. Shank is simple. "You have tried to be considerate and got your toes stepped on so take everything that is rightfully yours and if necessary get the Feds involved to protect your constitutional rights. If the majority of citizens in Creede want the railroad they will throw out the few powerful that are trying to get what they want for free and at your expense." MY OPINION (Roger Hogan)
