Railstar is quite well known in the industry and is a regular attendee at the TRAIN conventions, which is where I met its owner several years ago at Strasburg. He's a quiet, unassuming sort of guy.
This week I saw him (the owner of Railstar) out here, making the rounds of the local business community, building the very bridges you speak of, sorry you missed it.
Railstar's news releases have been timely, and Railstar certainly does not need defending. They have done nothing wrong. I am quite confident that they will make timely announcements of future developments when warranted.
Yet, in THIS forum I have seen Railstar ridiculed with photos of broken down amusement park trains supposedly being their new equipment, accused of having links to Black Bart Bartholomew (and we all know about him) , supposedly conspiring to trash historic buildings, bring Gay Bars to Colorado, and a host of other charges, [if this isn't railbashing what is?] by the [self appointed] persons claiming to represent the narrow gauge community.
Those persons do not repesent the narrow gauge community and to claim that they do so is an affront to a great many of us who do work in the industry.
Further, in this forum, anyone who dares to differ with the self appointed representatives of the narrow gauge community is flamed, not to mention the flood of emails being sent directly to their posted email addresses (incidentally the direct emails are currently running 5 to 1 in support of my position.)
People who support CHS position (and there are quite a lot who do) are afraid to show their email addresses because of this. I have heard from one person who claims that he was sent an email virus after posting an opposing point of view in this forum.
Pardon me if I belabor my point, but why would the new operator bother to reach out to people busy inventing crap about them?
They would simply do the job, and do it right. Sorry you can't see this.
