Steve,
... in regards to "DAH bulls", Dennis Rodman is practicing with the Denver Nuggets with high hopes. His glory days are gone ... perhaps also the Loop's.
I have one more day to run trains on the Georgetown Loop.
When I was little, I remember walking the grade with no track. I remember going up weekly to watch the progress of the bridge being built. This is the end of my tenth season. I believe I have an appreciation for the effort it took to rebuild the Georgetown Loop. I can't believe somebody can just show up and inherit this - unreal ... surreal.
I made the mistake of writing posts here, thinking that the Georgetown Loop may be a money issue. I think CHS wished upon a star ... and got it with Railstar. They found somebody willing to make all the right sacrifices to be able to run trains on the Loop. CHS and Railstar will need to dump big bucks to get the Georgetown Loop going again, but it isn't really money. It's time and ethics.
There will be 5 short months from the time GLR leaves to May, when trains are promised to be running. So, time is short.
Time to move on for all of us. It doesn't feel good for those of us that are onsite. It's a lot to swallow.
Even so - all the best to Railstar. Good luck. It's a tremendous stretch of track.
