Well, 497 has a reputation a mile long for being horrible on trackage. Of course, we have been round and round about 497, 492, and 483 and the benefits of each being restored. 463 is unique for parts creation which is not good for the cause for her rebuild. On the other hand, she can do what the bigger engines sometimes can't on track that is unstable with a weight of 30 tons less. I would be interested to see if a deal could be worked out to get 499 back for use on Cumbres. I know she was well liked and spent much of her time there.
