While we're speculating about the C&TS in 2005, how much time will be required to keep 484 and 487 in tip-top shape for the next few years? 487 obviously required a ton of work this winter but I'm not sure how much "normal" maintenance is required each winter. I suppose flues, tubes, and staybolts will at least be checked.
Beyond that, what shop work do recently overhauled locomotives get during a normal winter? (it's been so long since the C&TS has had a normal winter, I can't remember what that means)
Thanks,
Tom
