No one, especially myself, would argue the point. #14 is "my baby." However, these engines were all in service within a few years of working on the Loop, had been kept in pretty good condition by IRCA and Westside Lumber, and have the power to operate on the Loop without too much strain.
Add to that the fact that we have a great and knowledgeable mechanical shop crew that love steam railroading and owners who put a lot of money into preventive maintenance. No worries about wearing our girls out. We take good care of them.
