Okay....Its not exactly Chinese, but it is true...
"Never expect a politician to do the RIGHT thing...they will always do the POLITICALLY CORRECT THING"...hence, that which gains them the most financial and political capital.
Money is the mother's milk...we buy our way in with connections and connections to campaign donations...
In my young naive days, I worked for a powerful State Senator...I had ownership of "the list." They all have one - the list consisted of names of people who had a direct line to the Senator 24/7, even when he was on the Senate floor...if any of these folks called, their calls were put through immediately wherever he was or a message transferred to the Aide in closest proximity, so that the call could be returned immediately. We need people on "Ken's list." Since the Governor seems to be snoozing this one out, we need a little top down pressure on the legal offices.
