Third railing Royal Gorge, not

I have seen the reference to a third rail on the Royal Gorge line also. However that is contrary to what Lindsey Ashby publicly stated in Chama back in June at the Friends Annual Meeting. He was asked specifically by someone in the audience what the plans were for a third rail in the Gorge. His answer was that it was not feasible given the rail size in use in the Gorge. I think he said it is 140# (maybe 112#?). He said that the height of the rail would cause significant damage to NG rolling stock and equipment if any derailments were to occur. Makes sense to me. Perhaps his son-in-law has other ideas but that's what Lindsey said about the subject.
