This is very sad news indeed. Swanton has been a beacon for many a young steam convert. And most sad is that the engine, or engines, may be donated to Sacramento, who doesn't have a use for them and will no doubt relegate them to a closet. I don't know of other 19" gauge RRs but I certainly hope the engines can find a good home where they'll be used.
