My new album,
At First There Was Nothing, comes out everywhere today, and besides filming the video for the lead single on the Durango & Silverton, I also snuck some easter eggs for railfans into the packaging that I thought you all might appreciate, too. For starters, the album cover was shot out the window of the California Zephyr on its way across Utah. Additionally, because I've heard from so many fans who don't have CD players in their computers or cars anymore, I decided to do something special with this album: besides releasing it on
vinyl and CD, I'm also putting it out as a large 16-page
book of my photographs with lyrics, an essay about the album, and a unique download card so folks can listen anywhere they like. If you open up the book, you'll find the center-spread is this panoramic winter shot from the Durango & Silverton highline.
So anyway, if you're looking for some new music to listen to next time you're driving around railfanning or hanging out at home editing photos, give
At First There Was Nothing a shot!
