#34 was indeed sold to Reed Hatch in the early 1960's. He leased it back to the Sierra who ran it until they gave up passenger service in late 1979. I heard a Sierra employee was in the process of buying #34 when Mr. Hatch sold it to Fred Kepner.
At least it is save and sound in the Jamestown roundhouse and not rotting in a field in Oregon like #36.
