Re: NNG Insurance-----Try a insurance broker

July 13, 2022 12:19PM
My home insurance suddenly increased by thousands 2
years ago. Due to fire losses in Calif and tighter Insurance
rules by a USA Calif. company now owned by a Swiss firm.

I do live in a rural area where fired dept ratings are low
due to volunteer Fire Dept. rating and fire hydrant distance.
My Credit Union provided access to a fiduciary Insurance
broker who has saved me $4,500.00 (no typo) yearly for two
full years now.

I did contact my original ins. agent to find out details/reasons
for the huge increase 2 years ago but can't change Fire Dept
rating. I can pay $5,000. for a new fire hydrant on my property
that would reduce some risk/cost or construct water storage
on my property for fire dept. use which may be a long term
solution.
