Small cute little cars like your "mini" are very dangerous! In a collision with an SUV, you'll be in big trouble. (Hope it never happens - don't wanta lose my friend Stevie...) Prohibit small vehicles.... it is dangerous to drive them on the road. As a matter of fact, prohibit driving. Statistics prove it's dangerous. Too risky!!!!! Walk to Silver Plume.
Loggers are working in a very dabgerous job. I personally know several loggers who should be dead by now, if it weren't for some good luck or a guardian angel. Let's ban logging. It is unsafe. Let them build houses out of mud and straw instead. Who needs lumber??
Firefighters are in a dangerous occupation. Let's ban firefighting. No sense in letting a person get caught in a burning building, even to rescue someone in peril. Ban Firemen! From now on let them just stay in their fire truck, video tape the conflagration for the insurance company. It's too dangerous to go into a burning building.
Miners .... too dangerous. Let's ban mining. (I once had a bumper sticker on my car, stating "Ban Mining ... Let the Bastards freeze in the dark!") A very dangerous job. Who needs coal, copper, silver, gold, molybdnum, etc.? I have lost several friends and aquaintances in mining accidents. Lost the end of my right thumb in the Sunshine Silver Mine in 1979. Ban Mining!
Railroading? Too dangerous. Let's put airbags in the cabs of all the diesels. Should come in handy, especially on the UP's Texas subdivisions where head-on collisions are still a problem. As a matter of fact, let's automate the trains. Who needs crews? (They already have the technology for this ... just waiting to figure out how to handle the grade-crossing problem, then all the engineers and conductors will be out of work...)
Football? Hmmm. Dangerous. Could get your neck broken, or a knee messed-up. Better ban that, too. Risky!!
Skiing? Hmmm. Sonny Bono was killed skiing, as was one of the Kennedy clan. Better ban that, too. Flying? Well, John Kennedy Jr. died in a plane crash, as well as John Denver, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Patsy Cline, Ricky Nelson, etc., etc. Ban flying. Too Risky!!
I could go on, and on, and on and on. Maybe you guys should just stay in your house. Don't go outside. It's risky out there!! .... Wait .... what about carbon monoxide poisoning in your home? Or, your house could catch on fire with you in it. A tornado could collapse it, as could an earthquake. Hmmm. Better not stay home, either. You might be killed.
Sex? Let's not go there. (AIDS, Syphilus, Gonhorrea, etc.) Ban sex!!!
I personally have no intention of dying in bed. I am gonna go down doing something I like, even if it is "risky..." Live your safe and boring lives if that's what you want. I will have **done something** before I am gone.
