Your adventures remind me of the serials that always played at the movie theater prior to the main feature(s) on Saturday afternoons when I was a kid.  Each episode ended with the hero (or heroine) about to face certain death (or at least SERIOUS difficulty), to be rescued at the beginning of the next installment only to face another life-threatening experience 20 minutes later . . .
