By 1967, the only tracks remaining by the Silverton depot were the main line and the long, looping siding behind the depot they call the Shenandoah track.
In Durango, by 1965 the only big change in the yard trackage was changing the loop to connect directly with the depot tracks by the back corner of the roundhouse. This allowed the Silverton Branch consists to be turned much more easily. This resulted in the track coming north off the turntable to be stubbed off. A large parking lot was placed there.
The north yard tracks were removed over time along with the freight house, scale house and track and others. What is today known as "Narrow Gauge Avenue" was filed with yard tracks.
