Fortunately for all us Rio Grande fans, Olaf is still a daring young man, and nowadays accompanied by his faithful canine companion Jack, he continues to capture - and share - many fabulous fotos. For an official member of the Fraternal Union of Curmudgeonly Geezers he also has an amazing memory!!

Plenty of action in the early sixties to keep the rails in the snowshed shiny, Earl -
Every Cumbres Turn meant a helper and a road engine getting turned on the wye. Lots of empties heading east, and more loads than I was aware of.
