C&S #9 is there, but I saw it last summer it was a basket case, at least two years of serious work unless you have unlimited funds and talent to throw at it. I think it still has the asbestos on it.
Notice also that the operator is responsible for bridge maintenance. How'd you like to be dinged for even -painting- the loop bridge?
They are making the same mistakes the C&TS went through. The owners (CHS) must assume responsibility for the protection (major maintenance) of their own property. The operator need only be held accountable for operational maintenance and upkeep of their (CHS) properties. Major restoration of a loco isn't a part of "operating" a railroad any more than rebuilding one of their other historic structures just to sell tickets at the door is.
