That is exactly the issue. Navajo have a very serious problem. For many weekends Navajo areas were on a weekend curfew all weekend with nothing open. Here are a few statistics:
Rio Arriba County 57 positive cases (Chama has none)
Bernalillo County 1612 positive cases (Albuquerque)
San Juan County 1999 positive cases (Shiprock- Navajo)
McKinley County 2757 positive cases(Gallup-Navajo)
Metro Albuquerque is the largest area within NM with under 1 million. Entire Navajo lands are appx 225,000 population with a significantly higher rate.
If you exclude certain areas, NM has done ok with containing. There's no explanation why Navajo are being so hard hit. Meaning there's been no statistics if there's a genetic susceptibility or if its due to containment techniques.
